Key Responsibilities
Provide appropriate respiratory care specific to the pediatric population
Set up and operate respiratory devices following specified parameters
Assess and implement respiratory plans of care based on patient needs
Monitor patient's physiological responses to therapy
Educate patients and families about disease management techniques
Perform emergency care including artificial respiration and CPR
Supervise and orient Respiratory Therapy students in clinical settings
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited AMA approved school of respiratory care
Current and valid Nebraska license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
Registered Respiratory Therapist credential within 1 year
National Registered Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Therapist credential within three years of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 180 days
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an AMA approved accredited school in respiratory care
Minimum 1 year experience in respiratory therapy
Experience working with pediatric patients
