Job Description
Join Rush MD Anderson Cancer Center as an Ambulatory Clinical Nurse Leader, where you'll provide and manage care for patients with solid tumors, collaborating with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes and ensure high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinates comprehensive evidence-based education to patients and families
Evaluates evidence for practice and implements evidence-based practices
Collaborates in the development and evaluation of care and best practices
Serves as an advocate and resource for patient care coordination
Identifies variances related to length of stay and readmissions
Develops individualized plans to resolve barriers
Identifies factors related to safety for patients and staff
Partners to design and implement processes for improving patient care
Maintains open communication with leadership to address quality care concerns
Required Qualifications
Current State of Illinois Professional Registered Nurse licensure
Graduation from a CNL program and CNL certification within 12 months of hire
Graduate degree in nursing
Two years relevant nursing experience
BLS; other emergency cardiovascular care certifications as pertinent to practice area
Current evidence-based clinical practice and expertise
Demonstrated track record of success in participating in/leading microsystem quality initiatives
Demonstrated professional and effective communication skills
Demonstrated critical thinking skills
Basic computer skills, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated ability to navigate and utilize an electronic medical record
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative evidence for critical thinking and decision making
