Job Description
Join Raytheon as a Principal GPS Systems Engineer and play a key role in developing cutting-edge GPS electronics solutions for missile products. Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams and leverage your expertise to enhance the safety and security of our nation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop GPS electronics solutions for missile products
Perform analysis and modeling to decompose requirements
Collaborate with missile level system engineers
Interface with suppliers of navigation or guidance electronics components
Present technical information to peers, management, and customers
Support multiple programs and travel if necessary
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience with electrical hardware development, sub-systems, systems engineering
Experience in developing RF electrical subsystems
Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance
U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with missile radar and RF seeker subsystems
Background in detailed design and troubleshooting of components
Experience in systems engineering and architecture
Demonstrated understanding of navigation subsystems/components
Experience with integrated Guidance Electronics systems using GPS and IMU navigation
Knowledge of M-Code
Familiarity with Matlab scripting
Experience with hardware integration and testing
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
Knowledge of DOD Hardware development process
Experience in developing proposals
Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
