Join USPI Pearland Surgery Center as a PreOp/PACU RN, where you will provide essential nursing care for outpatient surgical patients. This role requires a skilled professional to monitor patient vitals, manage post-operative care, and collaborate on patient care plans, all within a supportive team environment. Enjoy a schedule of weekdays and one Saturday a month without holiday or on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement nursing care services for pre-op and post-surgical patients
Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, and respiration
Manage pain and nausea post-anesthesia
Participate in the development of patient care plans
Serve on committees and participate in quality improvement audits and projects as designated by the Clinical Director
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Texas Nursing License
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures
Understanding of aseptic technique
Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting
