Key Responsibilities
Supervise operations of the reactor control room
Authorize maintenance and testing activities
Implement Emergency Operating procedures
Evaluate and respond to internal and external issues
Oversee special projects as determined by Operations Director
Create and review Emergency Operating Procedures
Review design and license changes
Conduct operability reviews during off-normal conditions
Assist in developing refueling sequences
Direct operating shift personnel
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Passing the Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) and Basic Math and Science Test (BMST)
Completion of FLS Leadership Assessment
1 year Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility or 1.5 years at a non-comparable facility or 1.5 years in a position equivalent to Reactor Operator at military reactor or Bachelor’s degree with 1.5 years as a qualified non-licensed operator
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology or physical sciences
Managerial or supervisory experience at a nuclear facility
