1:4 hospitalist physicians/ 1:4 APPs assigned 7 days on/7 days off, 12-hour shifts (7 am to 7 pm) / or Nocturnist 7 nights on/7 nights off, 12-hour shifts (7 pm - 7 am)
Coverage entails care for ICU and med-Surg inpatients with patient ratios ranging from 1:18 to 1:25.
Continuity of care, quality of delivery, and coordination with all hospital departments in ordering and deciphering tests; diagnosis, and management of respiratory events are critical.
