Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician where you'll ensure our outside facilities operate at peak efficiency. Your expertise in construction and plant management will be key in maintaining high standards and reliability in our network.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant cables and associated hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft
Working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree
2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
