Job Description
As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide support and spiritual guidance to Sailors and Marines, playing a vital role in their emotional and ethical well-being. You will conduct services, offer counseling, and oversee educational programs, all while being immersed in the lives of service members.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Visit and provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel
Train lay leaders in religious education
Promote attendance at religious services and events
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
