Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Jacksonville, NC 28546 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN position
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (Medical Surgical Telemetry)
• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Schedule: 3x12s or 4x12s per week (36–48 hours/week)
• Duration: 13-week contract (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Weekend and holiday shifts included
• No on-call required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 – $1,800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NC or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• CPI certification required
• Proficient with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willingness to float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius of Jacksonville, NC

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedic conditions
• Safely administer medications and drips (insulin, heparin, Lasix)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNAs, and unit secretaries
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as required
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
