Job Description
Join MUSC as an Echo Sonographer II, where you will perform echocardiograms to assist in diagnosing cardiac conditions. Your expertise in clinical cardiology and imaging technology will be vital in providing high-quality patient care while contributing to team success in the Echocardiography Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high quality echocardiograms for interpretation and diagnosis by a Cardiologist
Optimize echocardiographic evaluations and ensure diagnostic accuracy
Organize and prioritize patient exams
Assist in the orientation and training of residents, students, and visitors
Required Qualifications
Graduation from a Cardiovascular / Ultrasound program or equivalent experience
Registry eligible for certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Associate of Arts/Science or bachelor’s degree
A minimum of two years of echo work experience in M-mode, 2-D, 3-D, spectral and color Doppler
Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and adult congenital echo
