The Chief Clinical and Quality Officer will lead clinical operations and performance excellence at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Southeast Iowa. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, improving patient care outcomes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration among healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day clinical operations and strategic initiatives
Ensure patient care outcomes are maximized
Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization
Maintain continuous quality assessment and improvement analysis
Collaborate with hospital departments for service continuity
Conduct compliance readiness and mock surveys
Lead development of new clinical programs
Participate in strategic planning and budgeting
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in nursing or related clinical discipline
Valid, unencumbered clinical licensure
7+ years of clinical practice experience in a hospital environment
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital environment
5 years of executive leadership experience
2+ years of direct quality management in a hospital setting
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Preferred Qualifications
CPHQ or related healthcare quality certification
Strong business and financial acumen
Experience in strategic planning
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quality, clinical, financial, and other data
