Job Description
Join Akron Children's Hospital as a Staff Nurse in the Behavioral Health Unit, where you'll provide specialized nursing care focusing on family-centered practices. Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing care focused on family-centered care
Demonstrate knowledge and skills for physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
Perform leadership and professional duties
Implement patient-centered care
Conduct quality improvement and safety duties
Participate in staff education and mentorship
Engage in evidence-based practice
Support provider staff and promote collaboration for quality care
Engage in systems-based practice and informatics
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
Valid, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Ohio
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Experience working with various levels within an organization
Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Experience working in electronic medical record systems
