Chuy's is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead a high-volume scratch kitchen. You will be responsible for managing staffing, food inventory, and ensuring food quality and safety, all while fostering a fun and diverse workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Manage food costs, waste, staffing, and cleanliness
Supervise and partner with the Assistant Kitchen Manager
Ensure proper staffing and training of kitchen staff
Maintain food quality and safety according to company standards
Oversee inventory and order supplies
Ensure kitchen equipment functionality
Create schedules for kitchen staff
Work within budget to minimize costs and waste
Required Qualifications
3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
Strong culinary knowledge
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Leadership and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Financial understanding of sales and costs
Preferred Qualifications
Bi-lingual (Spanish)
Familiarity with kitchen equipment maintenance
Willingness to run occasional front of house shifts
