Job Description
The Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer II plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality echocardiograms for pediatric cardiologists. This position requires independent performance of clinical operations and teamwork in a dynamic environment, with responsibilities spanning multiple locations and on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality echocardiograms for interpretation and diagnosis
Organize and prioritize patient exams
Cover all MUSC Pediatric Echo Lab sites including nights, weekends, and holidays (on call)
Contribute to unit teamwork
Required Qualifications
Graduation from a Cardiovascular / Ultrasound program or equivalent experience
Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a RDCS or RCCS certification in Pediatrics
Two years minimum pediatric echocardiography work experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Fetal Echocardiography (FE)
Associate of Arts/Science or Bachelor's degree
Fetal Echo and research experience
Echocardiography experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Cath Lab
