Key Responsibilities
Lead trauma quality improvement initiatives
Analyze data and develop performance improvement initiatives
Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure adherence to trauma care standards
Provide training and supervision to staff
Maintain trauma performance improvement records and databases
Create customized reports based on data analysis
Ensure continuous improvement in care of injured patients
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing
Three years of Trauma PI experience
Three years of RN practice in Emergency Department or Critical Care
Current Texas RN licensure
BLS certification
ACLS certification
TNCC Provider certification
PALS or ENPC certification (if assigned pediatric cases)
TOPIC certification
TCAR or PCAR certification
Professional certification (CEN, CCRN, TCRN, or similar within 1 year)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in nursing
TNCC Instructor certification
ATCN Instructor certification
Training in Injury Severity Scoring
Advanced quality training (LEAN Six Sigma, Team STEPPS, etc.)
