OR Tech 2 (Tier 2) – Research Medical Center (Kansas City, MO)
Permanent | Contingent | $25–$35/hr (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 | Shift Differentials: $3 Nights / $3 Weekends
Facility: Research Medical Center – 585+ bed hospital, part of HCA Midwest Health
Location: 2316 E Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64132
Shifts Available:
- Mixed Schedule (3x12s, rotating weekends)
- Nights (3x12s, rotating weekends)
On-Call Requirement: Must live within 30 minutes of facility
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain surgical suites and equipment
- Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and transport
- Provide surgical instruments and anticipate surgeon needs
- Maintain sterile technique and support efficient room turnover
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Experience: 1+ year as OR Tech
- Certification:
- Graduate of an accredited CORT program
- CST certification (NBSTSA) preferred
- BLS (AHA or Red Cross) required
- Competency: Must be able to first scrub in 3 of 4 areas – Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, and Vascular
