Job Description
Under general supervision, the NICU Nurse provides direct patient care to assigned patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The role requires proficiency in developing and implementing nursing plans of care, evaluating outcomes of nursing interventions, and ensuring a high standard of patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective nursing care plans for NICU patients.
- Evaluate the outcomes of nursing interventions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously with strong planning and organizational skills.
- Utilize computer programs effectively for patient care documentation.
- Demonstrate skills in patient experience and service recovery.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years recent NICU experience is required.
- Active RN license in the state of Maryland or willingness to obtain.
- Current certifications in NRP and BLS (AHA) must be active at the time of submission or willing to obtain within 48 hours of accepting an offer.
- COVID vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted.
