Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership and guidance on claims processes
  • Identify and evaluate strategic issues for product lines
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in strategy development and operational planning
  • Oversee claims policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Facilitate major improvements to processes and systems
  • Engage with external partners as appropriate
  • Establish controls within operational areas
  • Lead employee engagement and business initiatives
  • Inspire high-performing teams to deliver exceptional member experiences
  • Hire, develop, and coach claims leaders
  • Ensure compliance with risk and compliance policies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of related experience
  • 10 years of progressive customer service, operational, military or leadership experience
  • 8 years of demonstrated P&C proficiency and experience
  • 6 years of people leadership experience
  • Experience in developing P&C business solutions
  • Executive-level business and technical acumen
  • Proven ability to influence leaders across multiple disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and convert strategic vision into a tactical plan
  • Strong knowledge of compliance with Department of Insurance and Federal regulations
  • Experience using data insights for decision-making

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience articulating a vision and leading change
  • Business analytics experience
  • Leadership experience with a distributed office or remote employees
  • Proven claims-oriented project and process improvement experience
  • Technical Property knowledge including an Advanced degree or industry certification
  • US military experience or military spouse/domestic partner
