Job Description
Join MLK Community Healthcare as a Certified Nurse Midwife where you will provide compassionate care to women during pregnancy and childbirth. You'll be part of a dedicated team committed to community health, with significant benefits and a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide primary women’s health care focusing on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum period
Perform comprehensive history and physical exams
Manage in-patient obstetrical care including labor management and delivery
Prescribe treatments and medications
Provide individualized client teaching and counseling
Participate in peer review processes and audits
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in related field
Current licensure in the state of California (RN and CNM)
Certification by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)
Current furnishing number and DEA license
Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support)
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school/university of nurse-midwifery
Three (3) years’ experience preferred
Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation
Certification in Limited OB ultrasound
