Key Responsibilities

  • Select power conversion equipment and tune control loops for electromechanical solutions
  • Create and validate simulation models to evaluate system performance

  • Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major
  • 5+ years of experience in power conversion and/or control system design
  • Experience with traction systems, servo systems, fan/pump applications, or grid-tied bidirectional converters
  • Experience with high voltage systems at kW power levels
  • Experience in system modeling or design using MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major
  • Understanding of classic control theory and vector control of electric motors
  • Hands-on experience with power electronics inverters used as motor drives
  • Familiarity with induction and permanent magnet electric machines
  • Prior experience as engineering Team Lead (hardware, electrical or integration)
  • Ability to create system models capturing implementation-specific characteristics
  • Existing US DoD security clearance
