Key Responsibilities
Select power conversion equipment and tune control loops for electromechanical solutions
Create and validate simulation models to evaluate system performance
Support and drive the execution of product development projects
Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Required Qualifications
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major
5+ years of experience in power conversion and/or control system design
Experience with traction systems, servo systems, fan/pump applications, or grid-tied bidirectional converters
Experience with high voltage systems at kW power levels
Experience in system modeling or design using MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major
Understanding of classic control theory and vector control of electric motors
Hands-on experience with power electronics inverters used as motor drives
Familiarity with induction and permanent magnet electric machines
Prior experience as engineering Team Lead (hardware, electrical or integration)
Ability to create system models capturing implementation-specific characteristics
Existing US DoD security clearance
