Job Description

Join Gentiva Hospice as the Area Vice President of Operations, where you'll oversee multiple branches in the Desert region. Drive operational excellence, enhance patient care, and foster relationships with healthcare partners, all while working alongside a dedicated team committed to making a difference in patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate operational policies and procedures
  • Deliver quality patient care and family services programs
  • Lead the operational functions for assigned regional offices
  • Travel regularly to regional offices/branches
  • Work with clinical and operational teams to promote hospice services
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Supervise day-to-day operations including financial management and staff development
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with healthcare organizations
  • Act as spokesperson for the company in the community

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of hospice or home health, multi-site/regional, executive leadership
  • Familiarity with state and federal guidelines and regulations
  • Multi-site leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of budget development, financial profit/loss process, and human resources
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate clearly to various staff levels
  • Exercises professional judgment and demonstrates good problem-resolution skills
  • Comfortable working with multiple online and computer applications
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and manage conflicting priorities
  • Strong follow-up skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • RN Degree highly preferred
  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Related field may be considered
  • Five years previous healthcare managerial experience
