DextroMedical is seeking a local contract nurse RN Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Barberton, Ohio.
A well-established healthcare facility in Barberton, OH is seeking an experienced PCU/Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac telemetry experience, be comfortable managing cardiac drips, and have recent Epic EMR proficiency. Flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to float as needed are essential.
Unit Overview:
34-bed Cardiac Progressive Care/Telemetry Unit
Also serves as a stroke overflow unit
Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4 (maximum 1:5)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill patients with cardiac and stroke-related conditions
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and initiate appropriate interventions
Administer medications and manage cardiac drips
Start IVs and perform blood draws
Chart accurately and efficiently using Epic (required within past 12 months)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Float to other units as needed within scope of practice
Required Qualifications:
Active RN license in Ohio or compact state
Minimum of 2 years recent PCU/Telemetry RN experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
Epic charting experience within the last year
Must be comfortable running cardiac drips
Degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
Must be willing to float

Start date: June 2025

Local pay rate: $53.24 (must live 50 miles from facility to qualify for travel pay)
