Lactation Consulting
FTE: Full Time, 0.Shift: Days
Provides direct lactation care and instruction to breastfeeding mothers and infants.
Designs and implements community outreach/education programs and activities.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. We will be in patient's homes within a 10 mile radius of the hospital. You will need to come to the hospital to see patients to schedule appts and you will be traveling to and from patient's homes every day.
'Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency beneficial in role to educate primary Spanish speaking patient population.'
Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required within 2 years of hire, and any relevant certification as determined at position level.
2 years of recent maternal/child nursing experience.
