Job Description

As an Inventory Specialist at Walgreens, you will oversee inventory best practices, supporting both pharmacy and store operations. You will engage with customers, ensure accuracy in inventory management, and coach team members, making a significant impact on our store's efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Support pharmacy inventory management activities including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns
  • Engage customers and resolve issues for a positive customer experience
  • Coach team members on inventory management processes
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and compliance with state and local laws
  • Assist with physical inventory preparation and execution

Required Qualifications

  • Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens or one year of prior retail work experience
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
  • Achieving expectations rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal candidates only)
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage execution
  • Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens
