Crossville, TN Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Crossville, TN. This position offers moderate patient volume, flexible scheduling, and competitive compensation in a well-supported emergency department with hospitalist coverage for admissions.

Opportunity Details:

- Location: Crossville, TN

- Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens

- Start Date: ASAP

- Shift Schedule:

- Single Physician Coverage:

- 6 AM - 6 PM

- 6 PM - 6 AM

- APC Coverage:

- Swing APC: 10 AM - 10 PM

- Additional APC Coverage: 3 days per week

- Minimum Commitment: 12-20 shifts per month

- Practice Setting: Physician-led Emergency Department

- Facility Details:

- Annual Volume: 22,000 patient visits

- 23 ED Beds

- No Trauma Designation

- Hospitalist Team Handles Admitting Orders

- EMR System: Cerner

- Scribe Coverage: None

- Travel & Lodging: Provided

- Temp Privileges: Available for clean files

Patient Load & Flow:

- Patients Per Hour: 1.5 - 1.8

Procedures & Responsibilities:

- Required Procedures: General EM procedures, including Intubation, Chest Tubes, and Central Lines

Provider Requirements:

- Certification: Board Certified or Eligible in Emergency Medicine

- Must obtain certification within 2 years of Residency/Fellowship if not already Board Certified

- Licensure: Active & Unrestricted TN State License & DEA

- Required Certifications for Non-ABEM/AOBEM Certified Physicians:

- ACLS, PALS

- Proof of ATLS completion at least once (not required to maintain)
