Job Description
Join Lincoln Electric as a Control Systems Engineer at our Cleveland headquarters, where you'll play a crucial role in implementing engineering projects and supporting the Consumable division. You'll work with state-of-the-art technology in a collaborative environment, driving improvements in manufacturing processes and system performance.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for control systems hardware design, software design, and documentation
Support production and facility projects involving networking, PLCs, HMIs, and associated software
Collaborate with Operations teams for continuous improvement projects
Estimate time and cost for new projects
Review capital equipment proposals to ensure compliance with specifications
Provide on-site assistance troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
Reduce downtime on production equipment
Manage control system assets including software and devices
Improve system performance based on availability and reliability
Review security vulnerabilities and request remediation
Compile data from connected devices for organizational use
Develop and apply standards for control systems
Solve complex problems and take new perspectives on solutions
Work independently with minimal guidance
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
5 years professional experience
Experience with automation hardware and software platforms, including PLC and HMI
Experience with AutoCAD
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, 70E, NFPA 79, and other technical codes
Ability to support and troubleshoot industrial equipment
Critical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills
Ability to handle a variety of assignments and changing priorities
