Job Description

Join Lincoln Electric as a Control Systems Engineer at our Cleveland headquarters, where you'll play a crucial role in implementing engineering projects and supporting the Consumable division. You'll work with state-of-the-art technology in a collaborative environment, driving improvements in manufacturing processes and system performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for control systems hardware design, software design, and documentation
  • Support production and facility projects involving networking, PLCs, HMIs, and associated software
  • Collaborate with Operations teams for continuous improvement projects
  • Estimate time and cost for new projects
  • Review capital equipment proposals to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Provide on-site assistance troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Reduce downtime on production equipment
  • Manage control system assets including software and devices
  • Improve system performance based on availability and reliability
  • Review security vulnerabilities and request remediation
  • Compile data from connected devices for organizational use
  • Develop and apply standards for control systems
  • Solve complex problems and take new perspectives on solutions
  • Work independently with minimal guidance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years professional experience
  • Experience with automation hardware and software platforms, including PLC and HMI
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, 70E, NFPA 79, and other technical codes
  • Ability to support and troubleshoot industrial equipment
  • Critical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments and changing priorities
  • Effective communication skills
