Rang Healthcare is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel job in Bangor, Maine.
Position Specific Competencies:
1. Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and other special procedures as directed. Able to demonstrate adequate images of anatomy for proper diagnosis
2. Consults with radiologist for exam review before patient discharge
3. Provides ultrasound guidance for attending physicians in special procedures. Able to demonstrate anatomy
necessary for the examination performed.
4. Responsible for troubleshooting techniques with respect to machine malfunction. Notifies Clinical Engineering if
needed.
5. Makes sure clinical history is appropriate.
6. Verifies orders and patient identification with the two established identifiers.
7. Ability to utilize the full operation of the U/S units and probes.
8. Ability to obtain adequate imaging of the requested anatomy. Correct labeling of body part and viewing plane.
9. Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the PACS system and ability to utilize the system.
10. Ability to send images after hours when required.
11. Shows competence within EPIC.
