Job Description
Join Backus Hospital as a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician, where you'll provide vital outpatient services and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care. This role is essential in improving the health of communities through compassionate support and evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments and establish care plans
Provide direct patient care including case management and crisis intervention
Maintain timely patient-centered documentation
Refer patients to appropriate levels of care
Provide clinical social work interventions to all patient populations
Supervise second-year social work students
Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related Human Service field
Previous experience in a healthcare setting
Connecticut LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LADC
Valid Driver's License
Ability to assess problems and make decisions in a timely manner
Demonstrates competencies to meet age-specific patient needs
Cultural competence in healthcare
