Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our outside plant facilities operate efficiently. You'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of cables, working both on the ground and at heights, while contributing to America's most reliable network.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging, and removing outside plant cables and associated hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
