Job Description
As a Cardiac Sonographer I, you will leverage ultrasound technology to create detailed images of patients' hearts, assisting cardiologists in diagnosing and monitoring conditions. This role involves independent performance of echocardiograms while ensuring diagnostic accuracy and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality echocardiograms for interpretation by a Cardiologist
Organize and prioritize patient exams
Assist in the orientation and training of residents, students, and visitors
Ensure compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
Graduation from a Cardiovascular / Ultrasound program or equivalent experience
Registry eligible for certification by ARDMS or CCI
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Associate of Arts/Science or bachelor’s degree
1-2 years of experience in performing cardiac ultrasound procedures
Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamics
