We are seeking an experienced and clinically strong ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity 30-bed ICU encompassing SICU, MICU, and Neuro ICU care. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in open-heart recovery (CABG) , neurocritical care , and CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) . This role demands precision, adaptability, and the ability to float to other units when census is low.
Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients including those recovering from cardiac surgery, stroke, and neurosurgical procedures
Monitor and manage patients receiving CRRT , post- CABG , TNK administration , and complex neurological interventions
Interpret cardiac rhythms, manage ventilators, titrate drips, and respond to rapid changes in condition
Collaborate closely with intensivists, neurologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary care teams
Document patient care accurately in EPIC EMR
Float to other critical care areas as needed based on unit census
Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
Active RN license in the state of IL (Required)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA – Required)
Minimum 2 years of recent high-acuity ICU experience (Required)
Proven experience with CRRT, CABG recovery, TNK administration, and neuro/ICU stroke care (Required)
EPIC EMR proficiency (Required)
Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
If sick during a scheduled weekend (Fri 7 PM – Mon 7 AM), the shift must be made up the following weekend
Must be willing to float as needed
