Job Description
Join Ingersoll Rand as a CNC Machinist on the 2nd Shift, where you'll operate CNC mills and lathes to create high-quality metal components. This role demands precision, a solid understanding of machining, and a commitment to safety and quality standards in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC mills, lathes, and saws to manufacture metal components
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Set up, adjust, and operate machinery with minimal supervision
Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify product accuracy
Maintain production records and complete necessary documentation
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot issues
Ensure adherence to workplace safety policies
Keep the work area clean and organized
Required Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes
At least 2 years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints
Strong understanding of shop math and machining principles
At least 1 year of experience deburring/finishing parts
Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality
Preferred Qualifications
Technical school certification in machining or a related field
Basic CNC programming experience
Experience with lean manufacturing principles
