Job Description
The RN Lead is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to ensure the comfort and well-being of retired Sisters, addressing their needs across various stages of health. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Render professional nursing care across the wellness-illness continuum
Utilize knowledge of infection control, safety, and effective communication skills
Provide or delegate care considering age-related differences
Required Qualifications
Associate degree required
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Communication skills – both verbal and written
Ability to understand medical records, physician orders and nursing care plans
Ability to communicate effectively with Sisters, staff and other health care professionals
Current RN permits or licensure issued by the Board of Nurse Examiners in the State of Texas
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of one year previous gerontology experience preferred
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge of psychotropic drugs in current use and drugs commonly used in geriatric practice
