Key Responsibilities
Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent
Evaluate donor reactions and handle medical emergencies
Refer to Center Physician for unacceptable findings
Support vaccination programs for employees
Manage employee incidents and refer for further evaluation
Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Currently licensed or certified as RN, NP, or PA
CPR and AED certification
Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
Complete FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
