Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) to join our surgical team in Redding, CA. The RN will provide direct patient care during cardiovascular surgical procedures and assist with other assigned surgical cases. This role requires specialized knowledge of cardiovascular operating procedures, sterile techniques, and perioperative patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during CVOR procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, and other open-heart surgeries.
• Scrub and circulate as needed in both cardiovascular and general surgical cases.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, administering medications and interventions as directed.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in on-call rotation (2–3 days/week and every other weekend).
• Accurately document nursing care in compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Active RN License (California)
• Surgery RN CVOR experience required (recent, hands-on).
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Ability to handle emergency situations and respond quickly in high-stress environments.
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.

Assignment Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Days, 4x10s (12 shifts/4 days per week)
• On-Call: 2–3 days per week + every other weekend
