Job Description
As Plant Manager, you will lead the meat production facility, overseeing daily operations while ensuring safety and compliance. You'll manage budgets, develop processes for productivity, and support the growth of your team, making a significant impact on the company's success.
Key Responsibilities
Facility leadership and general management activities
P&L responsibility for the Facility through budgeting
Develop processes to maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity
Ensure compliance with health/safety regulations
Assist in recruiting, hiring, retention, and development of associates
Strategically create and adjust department activities and policies
Write and adjust Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Lead Facility teams on Gemba walks
Analyze and propose solutions to operational problems
Ensure all DOT regulations are met in the transportation department
Develop key metrics to drive improvement
Serve as Facility spokesperson for inquiries and feedback
Aid in solicitation of new business opportunities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or Agriculture preferred
Minimum 10 years plant leadership in food production, manufacturing, costing, and distribution experience
Preferred Qualifications
Financial responsibility
Increasing leadership history
Great verbal and written communication skills
Lean Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Access, and Outlook
