The RN Electrophysiology Specialist provides specialized nursing care in the electrophysiology lab, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through collaboration and adherence to protocols. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, administering medications, and supporting a healthcare team during procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patients' medical history and current condition for electrophysiology procedures.
Prepare specialized equipment and monitor patients during procedures.
Administer medications and maintain documentation of patients' responses.
Collaborate with healthcare team to support successful procedures.
Provide patient education and support before, during, and after procedures.
Engage in ongoing education and mentor others for professional growth.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, or another Allied Health Curriculum
Completion of New Graduate program
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
RCIS for Cath Lab, RCES or IBHRE for EP, CCRN or RCIS for holding room
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
