The Toro Company seeks a Manager for its Paint and Weld Departments in Windom, MN. This role involves leading operations, ensuring efficient production, and driving continuous improvement while fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule production for all shifts in the paint and welding departments
Audit process and standard work for Kanban boards
Create and maintain standard processes to align with material flow strategy
Analyze department schedules and staffing needs
Lead lean projects for continuous improvement
Work with Tooling Maintenance and Welding/Paint Engineer on jigs and fixtures
Project and budget future equipment and capital needs
Execute capital and large expense projects on time and within budget
Deliver quality products and resolve quality issues
Ensure employee safety training and enforce safety policies
Required Qualifications
Two-year post high school education from a vocational technical school or college in business administration or related field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing
Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office
Independent worker and problem solver
Preferred Qualifications
Four-year degree in engineering, operations, or business
Two years or more of management experience
Experience in welding, weldments, robotic and manual
Lean foundational knowledge
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
