🎓 Requirements
- Certification: ARDMS (OB/GYN); NT Certification preferred
- Education: Associate’s in Ultrasound Technology or completion of an accredited Sonography Program (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Certification: AHA BLS required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred; High-Risk MFM experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
🏥 Position Overview
Role: Ultrasound Technologist – High Risk Maternal Fetal Medicine / OB
Start Date: December 1 (non-flexible)
Location Requirement: Must reside within 100 miles
Scheduling:
- No 48-hour guarantees
- No blocked scheduling requests
- Maximum 5 days RTO
System: Epic EMR proficiency required (recent experience)
⚕️ Clinical Focus
Primary Duties:
- Perform high-risk obstetric ultrasound examinations , including:
- First-trimester dating and early anatomic assessments
- Detailed 2nd and 3rd-trimester anatomy scans
- Fetal echocardiography
- Growth and Doppler assessments
- Transvaginal ultrasounds
- Assist physicians with biopsy or additional imaging procedures.
- Complete exam charges, documentation, and forward studies promptly.
Patient Population: Newborn to geriatric (focus on maternal-fetal patients)
🧠 Required Competencies (MFM Ultrasound Tech III)
Proficiency in:
- Medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- All trimesters OB ultrasound studies:
- First: dating, early anatomy, NT/aneuploidy screening
- Second: detailed anatomy, targeted studies
- Third: growth, Doppler, antenatal testing
- Advanced fetal imaging: genetic sonograms, multiplanar imaging, fetal echocardiography, multiple gestations
- Procedural support: genetic amniocentesis
- Limited gynecologic ultrasounds: cervical/adnexal evaluations, Müllerian anomalies
- Compliance with AIUM (Accredited Imaging Organization) protocols
