Key Responsibilities
Perform mammography radiographic exams on patients
Maintain appropriate patient flow and quality services in the imaging department
Act as a resource and mentor to staff
Review incomplete exam lists and unsigned report status
Function as a liaison between physicians, technologists, and support staff
Perform quality assurance on mammography equipment
Maintain safety, environmental, and infection control procedures
Help schedule technologists for appropriate staffing
Intervene with patients to resolve complaints
Manage supplies and take emergency calls
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
Graduate of an approved program of mammography technology
Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)
Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M)
Four years of prior experience as a Mammography Technologist
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to perform quality control and stereotactic exams
Excellent technical skills
Demonstrated ability to mentor and support less experienced technologists
