Job Description
Join USAA as a Mid-Level Risk Analyst where you'll provide critical risk management support for banking operations. You'll partner with stakeholders to identify and manage risks across deposits, cards, and payments, ensuring compliance with industry standards while enjoying a flexible work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, assess, aggregate and document risks and controls
Communicate results of risk assessments to governance committees
Implement new risk policies, practices, and solutions
Improve strategies and methodologies for risk reporting
Assess data and produce analytical insights for business decisions
Contribute in cross-functional teams to mitigate risk events
Provide oversight of risk through documentation review and performance monitoring
Support formulation of scenario analysis and stress test plans
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field OR 4+ years of related experience
4+ years of risk management, regulatory or operations experience
Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles and tools
Experience in conflict resolution management
Ability to work with internal and external partners
Critical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Prior professional experience in Deposits or Payments business lines
Experience in conducting independent monitoring and testing activities
Proven ability to analyze complex datasets
Proficient in using data analysis tools (Tableau, Excel, etc.)
Strong presentation skills
US military experience or military spouse/domestic partner
