Job Description
The Medical Director at The Jewish Board leads clinical operations at a Coordinated Community Behavioral Health Center, providing essential psychiatric care and guidance to clinicians. This role is pivotal in driving quality improvements and supporting new practitioners in an inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and guidance to clinicians at a CCBHC
Lead clinical team meetings and case conferences
Assist with prescription coverage and clinical consultations
Support recruitment and training of new psychiatric providers
Provide direct client services and supervision to NPP students
Required Qualifications
Active New York State medical license
DEA certification
Specialty experience in Substance Use Treatment
Extensive experience providing psychiatric care
Preferred Qualifications
Subspecialty board certification in addiction psychiatry
Certification from the American Society of Addiction Medicine
Certification by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM)
Subspecialty board certification in Addiction Medicine from the American Osteopathic Association
