Key Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans and programs focusing on functional outcomes
Deliver specialized individual and group occupational therapy instruction as mandated in IEPs
Collect data and complete reports on student goals and progress
Consult with other professionals on the student's treatment team
Write and prepare annual review reports and goals for each student
Provide parent and caregiver support and education
Attend school-related meetings
Conduct screenings and evaluations for occupational therapy intervention
Supervise COTA(s) as needed
Maintain quality of therapy records and documentation
Required Qualifications
Appropriate State License
NYSED Certification Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with medically fragile children
