Job Description
Join Constellation Energy as a Senior Reactor Operator where you will lead the operations of a nuclear power generating station. This role involves extensive training, responsibility for plant procedures, and direct oversight of reactor operations, all while helping to drive the transition to a carbon-free future.
Key Responsibilities
Authorize maintenance and testing activities
Implement Emergency Operating procedures and direct required procedural steps
Evaluate and respond to issues and findings
Oversee special projects as determined by Operations Director/Managers
Create, revise, and review Emergency Operating Procedures
Review design and license changes for procedure impact
Provide operability review for systems during off-normal conditions
Direct operating shift personnel and coordinate plant operations
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Pass the Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) and Basic Math and Science Test (BMST)
Complete FLS Leadership Assessment
1 year Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility or 1.5 years at a non-comparable facility
1.5 years or more in a position equivalent to Reactor Operator or Supervisor at military reactor
Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or physical sciences (or equivalent) with relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Professional engineer license
Experience in operations, engineering, outage management, maintenance, radiation protection, or chemistry
