Key Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans and programs focusing on functional outcomes.
Deliver specialized individual and group occupational therapy instruction as mandated in students’ IEPs.
Collect data and complete reports regarding student goals and progress.
Consult with other professionals on the student's treatment team.
Assess and document each student’s progress through tests and measurements.
Write and prepare annual review reports and goals for each student.
Provide parent and caregiver support and education.
Attend school-related meetings for individual students.
Ensure a suitable learning environment by preparing materials and supplies.
Provide screenings and evaluations for skilled occupational therapy intervention.
Supervise COTA(s) as needed.
Communicate with schools and families for therapy referrals.
Follow safety guidelines for functional mobility.
Maintain quality of therapy records.
Participate in training programs for students and staff.
