Key Responsibilities
Assist in delivering quality patient care in diagnostic x-ray examinations.
Explain diagnostic x-ray procedures to patients and family members.
Perform diagnostic x-ray examinations including routine, fluoroscopic, portable, and surgical.
Utilize appropriate radiographic parameters to provide quality radiographic images.
Document digital images with proper identification markers.
Provide minimal nursing care and ensure patient comfort.
Manage patient information in PACS and Hospital Information Systems.
Prepare and maintain department paperwork accurately.
Adhere to radiation safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with accrediting and licensing bodies' requirements.
Perform quality control on imaging equipment.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R)
Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a General Medical Radiologic Technologist (GMRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association
