Job Description
Safeway is seeking reliable individuals for temporary grocery store positions to support operations during a potential labor strike. Candidates will provide excellent customer service, assist with stocking, and ensure store cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and assist with locating products
Operate cash registers and handle transactions
Bag groceries and assist with carry-outs
Address customer inquiries and escalate issues
Restock shelves and maintain product displays
Ensure items are properly labeled and priced
Rotate stock and remove expired items
Maintain cleanliness of aisles and common areas
Sanitize carts and checkout stations
Assist in various departments as assigned
Required Qualifications
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Stand for extended periods
Strong communication skills
Teamwork skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
