Key Responsibilities
Receives, triages, verifies, and processes requests for clinical triage and medical advice
Uses clinical protocols to assess advice to callers and documents discussions
Collaborates with stakeholders and providers to identify appropriate direction of care
Legally documents all calls and information discussed
Advises manager of trends in calls and potential quality of care and legal issues
Communicates effectively with providers and other departments
Adheres to protocols and processes for compliance
Meets departmental and regulatory turnaround times for clinical triage
Required Qualifications
Associates degree
New Mexico Board of Nursing RN License with Multi-State Compact Licensure status
At least 3 years of RN experience in clinical setting, emergency medicine, urgent care, or managed care
Preferred Qualifications
Two years nursing supervisor experience
Experience in primary care, emergency care, or urgent care
Experienced analytical skills applicable to interpret medical records
Experience with detailed research, coordination and organizational skills
