Key Responsibilities
Manage food cost, food waste, BOH staffing and wages, HACCP, production, pars, orders, and cleanliness
Supervise and partner with the Assistant Kitchen Manager
Ensure proper staffing in all kitchen positions
Teach and maintain Chuy’s procedures and recipes
Oversee and maintain inventory and orders
Ensure kitchen equipment is working properly
Participate in hiring and training of new staff
Maintain cleaning standards
Create schedules for kitchen staff
Work within a budget to maintain costs and minimize waste
Required Qualifications
3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
Strong culinary knowledge
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Leadership and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Financial understanding of sales, costs of sales and labor
Preferred Qualifications
Bi-lingual (Spanish)
Familiarity with a variety of kitchen equipment
Willingness to run occasional front of house shifts
