The Senior Director of Behavior at ARC & CARE will lead a dedicated team to provide high-quality behavioral care for animals in need. This role involves overseeing treatment plans, managing a team of behavior specialists, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the health and welfare of the animals. Key Responsibilities
Oversee behavioral care and pathway planning for ARC and CARE animals
Ensure high-quality, low-stress patient and population care
Lead and mentor a team of behavior experts
Collaborate with other teams on animal health and welfare
Manage research projects related to animal behavior and welfare
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Comfort with humane euthanasia decisions and procedures
Fear Free certified within 6 months of hire
Ability to work additional hours and respond to after-hours concerns
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in developing/overseeing research projects
Experience writing scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals
